Mental health is one of the primary topics discussed during the 2016 Philadelphia International Conference On Holistic Medicine. Various therapists, psychiatrists, and counselors all over the state attended the said event. In the said conference, the attendees had an opportunity to discuss the proper ways on how one can improve his or her mental health.
Fortunately, I was one of the attendees during the conference. I have to say that I learned a lot from the speakers, who shared their personal experience and academic knowledge about the most-discussed topics in the mental health industry. One of my favorite discussions pertains to the list of tips and tricks in having an improved mental condition. Allow me to share the list in this article. Let me start with this list:
Start The Day Right
When you wake up every morning, make sure to feel grateful before going out of bed. Recognize and appreciate all the blessings that you have in your life. In so doing, you can already set your mood for the entire day. Eventually, it will make you feel happy.
Be Physically Active
Did you know that going to the gym or performing exercises at home can help your body release more dopamine? This element is considered as “happy hormones.” The more you engage in physical activities, the happier you become. As such, find time to be physically active at least thirty minutes a day.
Seek Professional Help
If you believe that your mental condition has deteriorated over time, the smart thing to do is to find the right therapist and counselor who can handle your case. Find someone who is knowledgeable in the field of therapy so that he can help you process your thoughts and emotions.
Take note that mental health must be your top priority. Do everything you can to improve it.
